Dave W. Lambert Art

Dave W Lambert was born in Brisbane, Australia. His creativity and interest in art became an integral part of his life when he was in his early thirties. The inspiration for his art has always been drawn from his life experiences and daily observations.

Working mainly with oils and mixed media, Dave paints his versatile visual language in different forms, colours and lines. Dave’s abstract style, with this exploration of colours and imagination, is able to portray to the viewer, the complexity of our subconscious mind.

His works sometimes composed of small delicate patches which make up a mass that seems to change as one views it, have a powerful nervous energy. His works embody a natural and simple strength.

Dave employs a directional sense of colour in his paintings which are arranged so that the eye continually moves over the surface of the painting. He plays with bright areas of saturated colour which engulfs and jostles with each other. Admirers of Dave’s art are taken on a unique journey, and are almost able to experience the world through his eyes.

Some of Dave’s works are untitled to give the viewer an opportunity to create their own interpretation and connect with their inner self.
